Yes, it’s true, and it is coming right over our neck of the woods. Jackson is going to be one of the best places to view the total eclipse, so if you haven’t already made plans for August 21, 2017 it might be too late. It is going to be a great opportunity for all of us to see this rarely-seen event right here in our hometown.
The southern end of the Teton Range is perfectly aligned within the path of the eclipse and is bound to be one of the best places in the country to witness this event. They predict that at 11:35 am we will experience 2 minutes and 20 seconds of totality. Also, for our Wyoming neighbors, as it moves across the state if you can place yourself in Pavillion, Shoshone, Thermpolis, Riverton and Casper you should get a good view of it as well.
